A common question we get asked here at KUTAVAR is, “Which table specification would suit me for cutting high volumes of aluminium?”
Here at KUTAVAR we manufacture two types of table: Zoned Extraction or Waterbed.
We would always recommend Zoned Extraction over Waterbed when cutting aluminium, this is because of the production of hydrogen when cutting which can produce bubbles of hydrogen gas in the water, which is potentially dangerous.
On a Zoned Extraction Table, this hydrogen gas will be extracted into the bed of the machine.
Using a Zoned Extraction table generates a cleaner cutting environment compared to a Waterbed, resulting in minimal fumes in your workshop.
Aluminium is easy to work with because it is a softer material compared to other conductive materials, which results in minimal dross and high conductivity.
For best cut quality when cutting aluminium, we would recommend a High-Definition Plasma power source.
