British Designed, British Built CNC Plasma Cutting Machines
The established KUTAVAR range. Compact CNC plasma cutting tables built for heavy-duty industrial use on mild steel, stainless and aluminium.

The Machine
Performance at its core
Plasma is the workhorse of the KUTAVAR range and the process most of our customers start with. It cuts a wide range of conductive materials quickly, it is economical to run, and on a machine built to micron tolerances.
- Hypertherm power throughout. Powermax Family, MAXPRO and XPR range, matched to plate thickness and duty cycle.
- Precision drives. NEMA 34 hybrid stepper or servo motors with encoder, on high-precision planetary gearboxes.
- Automatic height control. Torch height tracks the plate, holding arc voltage through distortion and scale.

Power Sources
Matched to the work
Every KUTAVAR plasma table is specified around a Hypertherm power source chosen for the plate you actually cut, rather than the thickest plate you might one day cut.
01
Powermax Family
Light to mid-gauge work up to 25 mm. The most economical choice for general fabrication and repair.
02
MAXPRO200
Heavy production. Sustained high duty cycle on thicker plate, 20–30 mm, for shops cutting all day, every day.
03
XPR
High-definition (Hi-Def) plasma offers superior cut quality, tighter tolerances, and increased cutting speed when compared to conventional plasma. Hi-Def plasma excels in cutting thicker plate, with greatly improved accuracy for holes and intricate shapes.
Applications
Where it earns its keep
Plasma suits almost any shop cutting conductive material day to day. It is the broadest-application process in the KUTAVAR range.
- Structural steel
- General fabrication
- Agricultural machinery
- Automotive & motorsport
- HVAC & ducting
- Signage & architectural
- Repair & maintenance
- Subcontract profiling
Integrated Software
One control platform
KUTAVAR motion control and software incorporate CAD, CAM and CNC in a single interface — and it is the same interface across plasma and oxy-fuel.
- DXF, G-code and silhouette image import as standard.
- Profile nesting to reduce plate waste on every job.
- Pre-loaded library of standard flexi-shapes.
